"Keeping our Mechanical Veterans Alive"

MVT South East Midlands Areaestablished 1985
Welcome to the website of the MVT's South East Midlands Area. Our members look after and restore a whole range of ex-military vehicles with both UK and overseas origins. Vehicles include the well known Jeep through to tanks, transporters, lorries, Land Rovers, motor bikes, the humble folding bicycle and range from pre-First World War to the present day. However, you don't have to own a military vehicle to join us. If you are affiliated to the South East Midlands Area, you can follow us on our Facebook page MVT South East Midlands. See also our YouTube channel.
If MVT members would like to be notified via email when this website is updated or we have any other news, please send an email requesting this to info@mvtsem.org.uk including your name and MVT membership number. By doing this you are consenting to the webmaster keeping your name and email address on a database. Your details will not be shared with any third party.

MVT members benefit from a comprehensive package of support and you don’t need to own a vehicle to join; you just have to have a passion for keeping to mechanical veterans alive to join - we have many re-enactors, living historians and vehicle enthusiasts who are members.
Our work covers three key areas, each of which reflect our three core principles:
Together, we
Restore and Conserve
Our collective expertise and experience provide mutual support to help members develop the technical skills required to overcome the challenges encountered when restoring, maintaining and running their vehicles.
This work ensures that our vehicles will survive for many years to come and will continue to contribute to the legacy of our military heritage.
The authenticity of our vehicles is reflected in frequent requests to attend events and for film and TV work.
Educate and Inspire
Each year, our members organise and attend thousands of events, school visits, training events and ceremonies, up and down the country and abroad.
When we exhibit our vehicles in this way, we showcase the important role played by our historic vehicles which is of great educational value to the general public.
This contributes to the advancement of the public knowledge, understanding and appreciation of our rich military heritage.

Honour and Respect
In addition to showcasing our historic vehicles, we also pay tribute to the men and women who built, maintained, and used them.
We help foster appreciation of all our Armed Forces and commemorate their service to the nation.
We are proud of our association with organisations such as the Royal British Legion, The National Memorial Arboretum and Armed Forces Day and attend many of their events up and down the country.
